    The Director of Program Management will plan, direct and drive the execution of projects. This individual will be responsible for leading the organization, scheduling, budgeting and implementation for General Purpose Credit Card projects. To be successful, this individual will need to understand business needs at a strategic level, create and execute against project plans, and work cross functionally with various departments to ensure successful program implementation.


    As our Director, Program Management you will:

    • Lead the project management strategy for developing, prioritizing, executing, and managing project plans.  Ensuring projects are completed on time and with high quality.
    • Responsible for defining standards and overseeing the execution of tasks associated with managing projects.
    • Collaborate with executives and stakeholders at all levels to identify clear project goals, resources, potential risks, time to market and budget constraints.
    • Demonstrate and teach project management best practices and expectations for clearly communicating updates, action items, timelines, and success criteria.
    • Accountable for ensuring documentation and supporting materials are maintained and able to be referenced in future projects.
    • Proactively identify and manage the completion of process improvement, project backlog and best practices initiatives to work through and improve the organization.
    • Ensure project deliverables meet all audit, compliance, and legal objectives and/or requirements.
    • Attract, recruit, develop and retain a team focused on project management activities.
    • Work with external vendor teams on improvements to technology tools and platforms.
    • Serve as a primary problem solver for issues and roadblocks within various projects.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
    • 10 years, or more, of professional experience.
    • Ability to manage and lead multiple complex projects concurrently.
    • Takes ownership for quality control and attention to detail.
    • Strong process improvement skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and then translate them into logic and rule requirements.
    • Ability to communicate with and influence cross-functional teams, including IT, Risk, Finance, and other departments.
    • Advanced knowledge of project management.
    • Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel, and Word. 
    • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work, multi-task and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
    • Enjoys working with others as part of a team.

    Essential Functions:

    The incumbent must meet work deadlines, have regular attendance, good oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work with a team, ability to multi-task, use a PC and a computer terminal, and the specialized telephone system. It requires access to all areas of the office, and the ability to sit for extended periods of time, periodically bending and twisting, and frequent application of a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
