    Summary

    The Compliance Manager reports to the Director of Compliance and is responsible for working with the general purpose and private label credit card teams to promote and ensure compliance with applicable consumer lending laws and regulations.  The Compliance Manager is an experienced compliance professional who has proven track record for providing effective compliance risk management advice and oversight to consumer loan programs.

    Responsibilities

    As our Compliance Manager you will:

    • Understands credit card loan acquisition and servicing activities to oversee and advise on the development and maintenance of strong controls targeted at mitigating compliance risk assessed with various processes throughout the business lines while be able to think commercially.
    • Communicates compliance concerns timely and effectively to business line management and to Compliance leadership.
    • Partners with the business line management in developing policies, procedures, processes, standards, and marketing material that meet regulatory requirements.
    • Identifies and monitors relevant regulatory updates and compliance trends to identify potential upstream risks and issues and partners with business line management to identify solutions and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Maintains a strong working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations applicable to our loan servicing business.
    • Leads managing the compliance relationship and communication with our partner banks and other creditors for whom we service their general purpose and private label credit cards.

    Essential Functions:

    The incumbent must meet work deadlines, have regular attendance, good oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work with a team, ability to multi-task, use a PC and a computer terminal.  It requires access to all areas of the office, and the ability to sit for extended periods of time, periodically bending and twisting, and frequent application of a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.  The Company will provide reasonable accommodation where necessary.

     

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • At least 5 years professional work in the financial services industry in banking compliance, audit, or legal.
    • Strong knowledge of consumer compliance regulations and risk assessments.
    • Demonstrated track record of execution and results.
    • Ability to problem solve based on strong analytical and technical skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Excellent decision making, problem-solving and judgment skills.
    • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization.
    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
    • Ability to travel up to 10%
