Summary:

We are looking for an experienced vendor manage who is responsible for leading vendor execution and risk/compliance efficacy. This role manages a small team of Vendor Relationship Managers/contract management resources and will partner with senior leadership across the company. In this position you will develop, analyze, manage, plan, organize, direct and control the vendor management & risk management program for Genesis Financial Services, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities

As our Director, Vendor Management you will:

  • Support business units in their vendor management needs as well as correspond with vendors, representing senior management.
  • Identify, investigate, and respond to stakeholder concerns.
  • Proactively identify risks across vendor practices, operations, and resources; assist with developing and implementing controls to mitigate those risks which are common across industry-standard risk types that include: operational / transaction, credit, compliance, legal, strategic, and reputational risk.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the vendor/contract management process, including setting standards for contract language, contract negotiation, and pricing controls.
  • Assist contract owners with monitoring vendors and their performance and adherence to contract requirements and service level agreements.
  • Risk rate vendors using the defined vendor management methodology, and improve the methodology based upon evolving industry best practices; for technology service providers, coordinate with Info-Sec and BCP for rating consistency.
  • Manage the vendor contract database to ensure accuracy and validity; review vendor files for completeness, and work alongside business units to update accordingly.
  • Provide risk management activities related to the vendor management program, including but not limited to, risk assessments, gap analyses, process improvements, and model risk activities; actively participate in all vendor management audits and examinations, and regularly report on status, findings, and next steps.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years in financial services
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Leadership & engagement
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative thought leader to address structured & unstructured problems
  • Excellent written & verbal communication
  • Strong collaborative disciplines across multi-functional roles & business lines

Preferred Requirement:

  • Experience in Financial services, Consumer Lending, or Banking
  • Masters or Graduate degree
